YESTERDAY IT was announced that BBC Radio Suffolk and other local BBC Radio Stations could see massive changes to their programming.

The changes would see a major drop in the number programmes produced by our beloved Radio Suffolk with only Mark Murphy's morning breakfast show and Stephen Foster's drivetime show surviving the massive cutbacks.Content would be sourced from national radio station BBC Radio Five Live.

Last night on Twitter popular Radio Suffolk presenter Lesley Dolphin said: "Thank goodness for wine... what a day:("

All day people from all over Suffolk have expressed their disgust at the plans.Sarah Stamp said: "Can not think the BBC would be as stupid as to cut a service people enjoy".

Over the last few days Radio Suffolk have been getting a lot of recognition for the fantastic work they do for charity with David Carley saying: "Well done to BBC Radio Suffolk for raising £3 million for the treehouse appeal :)" This is the sort of thing our local radio station does best.

I think it is time to show Radio Suffolk and its presenter's just how much we love it. I for one really enjoy the sports coverage on a Saturday. You won't find such extensive and passionate non-league coverage on Radio Five Live.
