Geocaching in Stowmarket! The World Wide Treasure Hunt Game!

Ever heard of geocaching? You have now! Geocaching is a treasure hunt game played all over the world by adventure seekers with GPS devices. The basic aim of the game is to locate hidden containers called geocaches, and then document the find online. It tells you when it was placed and when it was last found. You must leave the geocache in its original location once you have found it though, otherwise that would be a little pointless for others wouldn't it!

So what has that got to do with Stowmarket? Well you may be delighted to know that there are hidden treasures in the area, as well as the rest of Suffolk the country and indeed the world!

If you have heard enough and want to jump right in then visit the official geocaching website. Enter your postcode or simply 'Stowmarket' and the list of geocache locations will appear. Then if you are up for joining the world wide hunt, a basic membership on Geocaching.com is free and requires only a valid email address and your name to create an account. You can also sign up for a premium membership if you really get into it.
