How are you finding Stowmarket's roads at the moment? Are there any I should avoid?

I just wish the council would grit the pavements, even just the main well used public ones..e.g. roads leading away from the station. Its so dangerous and thankfully I now own some wellies with super grip to stop falling on the ice but before then I just tried to walk in the road.
