Students from Stowmarket High School have done the town proud this year following GCSE and A-Level results this year.

A-LEVELS

80% of A-Level students are moving on to their first choice universities following their results, and quite rightly deserve to celebrate as a result of their hard work, needed in what seems to be an increasingly competitive market.

Michelle, already a university graduate, said this:

'While it is no garantee that jobs will come any easier, it has certainly helped me apply for jobs, even ones that are not related to my original course. A-Levels were hard, but the final and extremely important stretch starts now. I advise anyone going to university to take advantage of work experience/placements, because many people have the grades, but employers will look for that little extra.'

So what happens now if you didn't get the grades? Don't panic!! There are others in the same boat. Why not check out helpful sites online for clearing vacancies, like UCAS. Another helpful site is Student Room

GCSES

GCSE students did well too, with 72% of pupils gaining five or more A-C grades at Stowmarket High School. A wopping 18 students took home straight A's* A's and distinctions! (Bury Free Press)
