Stowmarket Morrisons Now Recruiting!
By Forever_Free | Saturday, June 25, 2011, 08:55
Due to open in September 2011, the recruitment process in Stowmarkets new Morrisons is fully underway. Open days took place in early June and interviews will be taking place between mid July 2011. While it may be too late for some positions, there are still vacancies online including butchers, bakers, supervisors and managers. Be quick as the closing dates are fast approaching.
Despite some opposition to the idea from some members of the community the overall impression I have recieved in response to the new arrival is a positive one.
T - Yeh it's great, makes a change from the Asda in town, and Tesco's up the road. I think it perks Stowmarket up a bit.
Izzy- I don't honestly see why we would need a third supermarket in such a small town, but it's great for employment opportunities.
Close to the town station and A14, it is in a very convenient location, but I do wonder what the parking will be like. Stowmarkets Asda actually charge in their tiny carpark, and while this can be redeemed in store, you have to spend a hefty £10 before that happens which is ludicrous and unfair to the community.

Not entirely sure I agree with their employment policy which only take on people who have left school. Im assuming they provide work experience but kids should be earning their pocket money and getting experience in as soon as possible, with a maximum working hour policy in place to ensure it does not effect their school work. e.g. weekend work only.
