New fitness studio coming to Stowmarket

Stowmarket residents looking to keep fit will be pleased to hear that work on a second fitness/dance studio at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre has begun.

Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre hopes that by January 2012 the studio will be open and available to use. They aim to bring a host of fresh classes and activities to Stowmarket residents and continue to promote fitness to people of all ages. The Leisure Centre, currently run by 'Everyone Active', is providing a welcome boost to the availability of its classes and activities. According to a Mid Suffolk leisure centre representative the number of people attending classes has increased dramatically over the past two years, so the extra accommodation will allow for more people to join the centre.

The new studio will feature a professional sprung dance floor, much like the original studio. This kind of floor helps protect customer's joints and muscles from potential damage caused by intensive dancing and other equally demanding activities.
