The Cupcake Salon in Stowmarket

The Cupcake Salon was created in 2010 and is run by Michaela Doggett in Stowmarket. She is proud to serve this classic piece of heaven in a new, artistic and stylish way.

The Cupcake Salon offers the most delicious and beautiful cupcakes, which are all home baked and hand-decorated to suit your special occasion. The style is uncomplicated yet sophisticated with special care and attention given to the details of each cupcake.

"I have always been very passionate about food and cooking but most of all, I have always had a passion for sweet treats. I love Cupcakes, baking them and experimenting with different flavours and styles. My cupcakes have been highly praised and that made me think that, perhaps, my product was slightly different from others available." – Michaela

The Cupcake Salon successfully traded for 6 weeks (March-April 2011) in a retail unit in Tower Ramparts, Ipswich, supplied by the Test Trading Scheme that Ipswich Borough Council launched several months ago and that was a real success. They also traded at Ipswich Market on a Friday and at Bury st. Edmunds market on a Saturday for several months. The Cupcake Salon does not currently have a shop but Michaela seems hopeful about the future.

"At present, we do all our baking from home and when you buy from The Cupcake Salon, and when you buy our cupcakes, you can be sure they have received the best TLC from a tidy and clean kitchen. We hold a food Hygiene certificate; have been approved and scored by the Food Safety Standards Agency and hold a full Public and Product Liability insurance."

The Cupcake Salon only uses natural ingredients, mainly sourced locally or in the rest of the United Kingdom. They aim to supply the most natural products possible avoiding all preservatives and canned ingredients. The cupcakes are baked and delivered within 24 hours.

The Cupcake Salon has received a lot of positive feedback, including this comment from Sharon.
